Admissions - Spring at Tisch

Acceptance to Spring at Tisch is based on your academic record at your home institution; a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, satisfaction of prerequisites, recommendations, personal statement, readiness for living and studying in New York and how well your interests match the training we offer.

Eligibility

  • Students must be undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or seniors during the 2008-2009 academic year and are expected to be in good academic standing.
  • Students must have a 3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA).
  • Photography applicants must have taken at least two semesters of college-level foundation courses, including Photography I and Photography II.
  • Applicants to Film Production, Dramatic Writing, or Cinema Studies: prior course work in these disciplines is not required since the classes offered are beginning level. It is not necessary that your field of study is arts-related; in fact, most students do not come from an arts background.
  • Applicants to the Acting program should have a minimum of one year acting training.

International Students

International students who are accepted into Spring at Tisch are required to obtain an F-1 or J-1 student visa from the NYU Office of International Students & Scholars. For complete information about eligibility requirements and an application contact OISS at 212 998 4720.
