Shanghai is one of the most exciting and influential cities in the world. Currently enjoying unprecedented growth as the cultural and economic capital of China, Shanghai is China’s most progressive city, with a rich artistic heritage. Continuing its tradition of excellence, Tisch School of the Arts is proud to partner with the Shanghai Theatre Academy, one of the most prestigious art institutes in China, to offer a unique semester of drama training and design and technical theatre in Shanghai.
All students enroll in an 8-point advanced studio track consisting of training in drama or design and technical theatre. Additionally, students engage in intensive study of Mandarin and take a lecture course on Chinese arts and culture conducted in English for a total of 18 points. Independent study on television documentary making is also a possibility.
