The Department of Photography and Imaging at Tisch School of the Arts is centered on the making and understanding of images and teaches students to explore photo-based imagery as personal and cultural expression. The Summer High School Program in Photography and Imaging focuses on using photo-based image-making for communication, creative expression, and personal exploration. Students gain the visual and verbal vocabulary to further articulate their interests in relation to creating and discussing imagery.
Taking full advantage of the creative communities in New York City, students embark on photographic expeditions and visit major museums, galleries, and artist’s studios.
