An exploration of Paris as the setting, inspiration, and home of a vast melting pot of arts activity, this course provides an introduction to this capital’s artistic resources and cultural history. Starting with basic language introductions, students learn to be polite guests in the City of Light. Using an interdisciplinary approach to art, film, architecture, theatre, and photography, the class combines lectures and discussions with field trips to museums, galleries, performances, and historic landmarks.
