Housing

For all domestic and international programs, students check into the residence facility on Sunday, July 13, 2008, and must check out by noon on Saturday, August 9, 2008.

Note: Students are not allowed to leave the program site for any extended length of time (e.g., to attend weddings, graduations, auditions, film screenings, or theatre productions). Due to security policies and the intense, collaborative nature of the programs, students also are not allowed to have any visitors for the duration of the program. Family and friends may not visit the students, drop off gifts, or attend any of the events during the program. A special event will be scheduled for the last day of classes, which family and friends are encouraged to attend.

GREENWICH VILLAGE

All students in the program are required to live on campus in housing provided by New York University. NYU housing includes front desk service and 24-hour security. Entrance to the building is monitored so that no person will be allowed to enter without a University identification card and clearance for building access. Program assistants share living space with the students and supervise outside activities. Evening and weekend time includes a variety of group outings, as well as class preparation and rehearsals.

ABROAD

All students will be housed in apartment/dormitory style accomodations arranged by New York University. Program assistants share living space with the students and supervise outside activities. Evening and weekend time includes a variety of group outings, as well as class preparation and rehearsals.
