Brendan Bradley will graduate from Tisch School of the Arts in May. When he dons his purple robe, this North Carolina native will look back on his career at Tisch knowing he challenged himself from the beginning. He jumpstarted his acting career a year early in the Tisch Summer High School Program, and later studied abroad with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
“The high school program at Tisch influenced me to make this career a part of my life,” Brendan said. “The summer program allows you to see the structure, order and process that comes with the Drama program at Tisch. Every day, the classes pushed us in ways that I never imagined. We saw tons of different shows, and it allowed me to see types of theatre I didn’t know existed.”
Brendan said he came to NYU with different expectations of the drama program. “I knew I would have to work hard and keep challenging myself,” he said.
During the 2004 fall semester, Brendan extended his challenge when he decided to study abroad with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
“The RADA program was the perfect combination to my studio training at Strasberg. It’s an intensive program. Geoff Bullen is incredible and doesn’t let you slack. If you are willing to fall on your face, he’ll be there to pick you up,” he said. “Knowing I had that support meant that I could absolutely succeed.”
Since returning to New York, Brendan has signed with an agent and is working in theater, film, and television projects. For more about Brendan, visit www.brendanbradley.net.
