Description

In the first of two “scene fests” this season, the Drama Department will be presenting two separate programs of scenes drawn from plays written during and reflecting the concerns of the civil rights era.  A related symposium featuring the playwrights, scholars in the field, and cultural commentators will extend the audience’s exploration of these infrequently produced plays and the issues they confront.  All the Studios in the Department of Drama will stage scenes or short one acts for the project.
